Thanks for this, Bryce. For me, I read for all of your list except technology. I'm grateful for it, but I don't understand it! I also appreciate an honest voice and you certainly have that! And you couldn't be more right about the weird T.L episode about Coach Beard. What even was that? I'd imagine Brett Goldstein would answer, "Art, dummy." but I'll take the regular episodes, thank you. Lastly, hurray for curiosity! In education, we sadly admit that kids enter kindergarten as an exclamation point and leave as a period. I'm trying to prevent that for my students, but everyone who encourages curiosity is a friend of mine.

You're welcome, Sue. Thanks for sharing. I appreciate learning that you read for the whole list, sans technology. My focus when discussing any technology topics will be more from the user perspective (and its potential) and less about the technical details.

Thanks for validating that my honest voice is coming through.

As for Ted Lasso, I'm so glad I'm not the only one who was disturbed by the Coach Beard episode. We finished season two last week and am glad that was an outlier. So weird! I also noticed the episode length increased from the early ones that felt more like a half hour sitcom to the later ones that felt more like an hour long drama. It's an odd feature of streaming to have the flexibility to expand the episode length in a way a linear TV schedule never allowed. I appreciate the room for more detailed explorations of the characters but miss the shorter punchier sitcom feel of the earlier episodes. Will be curious to see what season three feels like. Have you started it?

Finally, I love this line: "everyone who encourages curiosity is a friend of mine." I'd never heard the saying of entering kindergarten as an ! and leaving as a . but it's sad if true. How do we encourage people to enter as ! and leave as ? instead?
